Ashen Pendrix is a 9-year-old child character that belongs to Kōhō, a game similar in genre to Ni No Kuni (NDS, PS3) and Okami (PS2, HD PS3). Kōhō (後方) is a Japanese Playstation3 game that includes aspects of both Roleplaying games and Action/Adventure. Ashen is the Deuteragonist, second to the Protagonist. Ashen plays a large part in the game’s storyline and acts as a hope rejuvenate for the main character. Ashen is a playable character. The completion of her levels is impeccable to the story line and the player must complete them before being able to move on. She is 70cm tall and is of Japanese ethnicity. She wears an undersized white shirt with tore up pants and a giant leaf tied around her neck. Her hair is a giant flower and her most prized possession is her mask. She collects clovers hoping that if she found a four-leafed one it would fuel her determination and give her luck to face her one biggest fear - the Crimson Wolf Shinku

Ashen belongs to the archetype “Orphaned/Abandoned Child”. The Orphan Child archetype is associated with feelings of abandonment. The world of Kōhō (meaning “backward” in Japanese) is a mixed up, mirrored universe under a curse hidden by the past. The world is molded to be similar to Japanese Alice in Wonderland. Ashen’s mind fogs with the slightest mention of the curse and cannot truly remember where she came from and who her parents are – what her purpose in life is.
